Shopping on the Gold Coast is one of the greatest activities to enjoy. We are blessed by having some of the biggest shopping centres in Australia which is amazing considering the population of the Gold Coast is a fraction of that of the biggest cities like Sydney and Melbourne yet it has shopping centres that rival the size of the biggest in those cities.
Pacific Fair Shopping Centre
First up is Pacific Fair. And this is probably the biggest shopping centre on the Gold Coast and has recently been fully renovated and redesigned with a cost of many many millions of dollars and years in the making. Now that it’s complete it’s home to international brands like Zara, Zara Home, Myer, David Jones plus many more. There are also dozens of designer brands like Louis Vuitton, Prada, and YSL. Plus dozens of speciality stores.
Pacific Fair is made even more popular thanks to it’s proximity to Surfers Paradise which is the tourist centre of the Gold Coast as well as being fairly close to Bundall and Southport which are technically the CBD of the Gold Coast.
Robina Town Centre
Almost as magnificent is Robina Town Centre which has also recently undergone large-scale renovations to bring it into the 21st century with Style. Robina Town Centre has a man-made Waterfront dining area as well as world class gyms cinemas and even a bowling alley. Robina Town Centre has a new area called the Kitchens which is based around food and drinks.
Harbour Town Factory Outlet
For the more budget-conscious that is Harbourtown which is further north on the Gold Coast yet is still a very popular destination for locals and tourists alike. This shopping centre specialises in factory outlet stores which offer significant discounts over there main store locations. Harbourtown is extremely popular with tourists because there are a lot of bargains to be had as well as a variety of food and drink options Plus its very own Cinema equipped with Gold Class viewing lounge.
The Pines Shopping Centre
Much smaller on the list is The Pines Shopping Centre which is located in Currumbin and is much smaller than the above 3 shopping centres yet it deserves a place on this list because it ticks all the boxes for a shopping centre worthy of a visit. It has also been recently renovated and even though it is technically classed as a shopping centre designed for locals it is also very well styled and maintained which makes it a satisfactory place to take visitors and guests.
Surfers Paradise Mall
Finally, we have the shopping strip in Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast. Even though this is engulfed interest stores and are the shops designed to lure interests and not necessarily show off the greatness of Gold Coast shopping, it’s still worthy of a visit because it is outdoors and typically we have great weather Which makes for an extremely enjoyable shopping experience.
