What’s the Minimum Age For Eyelash Extensions?

Are you under 18 and wondering what the minimum age for eyelash extensions is?

Technically there are no laws around eyelash extensions in Australia and the minimum age for applying them. However, we go by what our public liability insurance company says and follow their rules.

At The Lash Spa, we strictly do not apply eyelash extensions to anyone under the age of 16. Even with the signature of a parent or guardian, we are not covered by our insurance if we apply lashes to anyone below that age.

Between 16 and 18 we would love to have you in as a client with the consent of a parent or guardian, but need them to fill out the consent form with one of our lash tech’s as a witness (you can’t simply bring in a signed piece of paper).

We’ve heard that a lot of high school girls are opting for eyelash extensions as a hack to getting around ‘no makeup at school’ rules.

I probably would have done the same if I had the chance when I was in high school, sadly we just cannot risk our business and prefer for clients to wait until they turn 16. We thank you for your understanding on this!
