If you have extensions, here are some of the things that you should consider before showering.
Steam Leads to Lash Loss
You don’t have to wait 24 hours after your lash application to shower; just remember to be careful with the heat. You don’t want to set the shower too hot and risk losing your extensions because of the steam. A cool to lukewarm shower is fine, just avoid getting any water on your face. Another lash taboo is rubbing them in the shower.
What you could do instead is to gently comb your lashes using a spoolie after showering so that you could reshape them, and use a cool, low setting to carefully blow dry them in place.
Wear protective gear
If you really need to wash your hair, you can tilt your head back to shampoo without getting your face wet or wear goggles. Just make sure that they’re suction-proof and don’t press against your extensions in any way. As long as you keep water and steam away from your lashes, you’re good.
